A Novel High Gain Dual Input Single Output Z-Quasi Resonant (ZQR) DC/DC Converter for Off-Board EV Charging

This manuscript focuses on a Multi-port non-isolated (Dual input and single output) DC/DC power electronic interface based Z-Quasi resonant (ZQR) network. The converter accommodates grid Photovoltaic panel (PV) as its sources. Unlike the basic converters, recommended requires fewer switches provides continuous current, high voltage gain, minimal stress switch up to 40% duty cycle owing presence of ZQR feature makes it suitable for applications like Electric Vehicle (EV) off-board charging, where gain is required. purpose this paper develop evaluate multi-port EVs. In proposed converter, additional output ports could be appended without compromising converter’s efficiency. developed can operate continuously even if any one sources fails charge EV. mathematically modeled using laws that govern performance analyzed in MATLAB Simulink platform under various operating modes. A detailed analysis steady-state dynamic conditions well comparison multiport with topologies addressed published literature are also presented manuscript. order verify performance, prototype model 300 W has been designed switching frequency 20 kHz. Experimental results confirm effectiveness theoretical analysis, aforementioned advantages, features converter.
